portugal 10x15: uma nova coleção
Há muito que este post andava para ser escrito. Fui anunciando pelo Instagram e pelo Facebook que havia uma nova coleção a caminho, mostrando um ou outro pormenor, mas a partilha completa foi sendo adiada semana, após semana.
Confesso-vos que queria fotografar esta nova coleção de uma forma que fosse fiel ao resultado final e não estava a conseguir fazê-lo como queria. O tempo foi passando, foram aparecendo alguns imprevistos e mudanças pelo meio, o trabalho que não pára (e ainda bem!) e quando dei por ela passaram-se semanas!
Mas vamos ao que realmente interessa: esta nova coleção de postais - portugal 10x15 - é mais uma coleção beija-flor com uma forte ligação ao imaginário português. É, tal como o nome o indica, uma coleção de postais que segue o formato convencional do postal - 10x15 cm. Cada modelo terá um símbolo (re)conhecido da nossa história e, neste primeiro modelo, a Andorinha é a protagonista.

É um postal delicado, minimal e cheio de pormenores que o tornam especial. É feito em papel de 100% algodão, com gravação a baixo relevo dourado na capa e com informação sobre o símbolo português (neste caso a Andorinha) no verso. Simples, mas não simplista, tal como tento que sejam sempre as coleções beija-flor.

I've been meaning to write this post for a while now. I had announced on Instagram and Facebook that a new collection of postcards was on the way. However, I've only just managed to share the whole thing with you. This is because I wanted to photograph this collection in a way that truthfully portraits it and I was finding that hard to achieve. Meanwhile, other work stuf started getting in the way, more and more things came up and suddenly weeks had gone by.
But let’s get to the point! This new collection of postcards – Portugal 10x15 – yet another Beija-flor collection strongly connected with the Portuguese imaginary. As the name itself refers the postcards have the standard size of 10x15cm. Each postcard will have a well-known Portuguese symbol, in this first version, the Swallow is the chosen one.
Delicate, minimal and full of details which makes for a very special postcard. It’s made with 100% cotton paper, with a gold debossed symbol on the cover and some information about the Portuguese symbol (the swallow) on the back. Simple, not simpleton. Just has I always try to make Beija-Flor's collections.
